Untitled (The Baths) III is part of Debbie Lindsey’s series inspired by The Baths at Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands — a place whose immense granite formations, clear Caribbean water, and shifting patterns of light fascinated her.
In these earlier interpretations of The Baths, Debbie explored a distinctive pointillist-influenced approach, building the image through repeated touches of color and texture. The technique gives the rocks, water, and tropical landscape an energy quite different from the broader brushwork seen in her later paintings of Virgin Gorda.
Together, the works in this series reveal Debbie returning to a favorite subject while continuing to experiment with how she represented light, color, and the natural world.
